If you came here looking for a teen chat room: that room doesn't exist on JustaChat anymore. Everything past this point — including the login below — is for adults 18 and older only. If you're not 18 yet, this isn't the room for you, and we'd rather tell you that straight up than let you find out the hard way.
Why we made the call. The rules around platforms and minors changed, and we're not interested in being the company that ignored it. The UK's Online Safety Act now places real obligations on platforms when it comes to protecting under-18s — including age assurance requirements for services where strangers can message each other directly. We're not set up to do that kind of verification properly, in the UK or anywhere else. Rather than try to thread that needle and get it wrong, we made the simpler, safer call: no one under 18 on JustaChat, period — not just for one country, for everywhere.
But honestly, the law is only part of it. We ran a real teen room for years, and the harder truth we eventually had to sit with is that moderation alone never fully solves the actual problem with putting minors in a room with strangers: people lie about who they are. A moderator can act the moment something goes wrong, but that's reactive — it catches a conversation after harm has already started, not before it. The people most likely to push their way into a room labeled "teen" with bad intentions are exactly the people most willing to lie to get there. We don't think any text-chat platform can fully solve that with moderation alone — including the one we were running. So we stopped trying to manage that risk and simplified the policy instead: JustaChat is an 18+ platform. No exceptions, no separate room, no gray area.
If you're 18 or older, you're welcome to use the login below. If you're not, please don't try to talk your way in. Login attempts are logged, and anyone who misrepresents their age to get into this room is banned on sight the moment it's caught — no warning issued first. That's not a threat, it's just policy, and it's consistent with our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy: users are responsible for the accuracy of the age they provide, and we are not responsible for anyone who misrepresents it to gain access.

When we originally built JustaChat's teen room, we modeled it after long-running platforms that have operated youth-oriented rooms for decades. But the regulatory and safety landscape for online chat with minors looks very different in 2026 than it did even a few years ago — between the UK's Online Safety Act, growing scrutiny in the US around children's online safety, and platforms across the industry re-evaluating whether unsupervised real-time chat between strangers and minors can ever really be made safe.
We came down on the side of closing the room rather than trying to manage a risk we couldn't fully guarantee against. If you're a parent who landed here because your teen had this page bookmarked, or a teen who used to chat here: there's no path into JustaChat anymore for anyone who isn't 18 — not through this page, not through a saved login, not by re-entering a different date of birth. The check happens both on this page and again on our end.

For Parents
If your teen has used or mentioned JustaChat, here's the update: the room they may have used is gone, and the platform as a whole is now 18+ only. There's no separate minors' area, no "teen mode," and no way to register or log in with a birth year that puts someone under 18 — the form rejects it, and that attempt is logged on our end.
If you have reason to believe your teen was previously in contact with an adult through this site, or that anything inappropriate happened, please use our contact page to report it with as much detail as you can — nickname, approximate dates, and what occurred. We take these reports seriously and review every one.
More generally: we'd rather be honest that we're not in the business of recommending a specific replacement platform for your teen. If you're evaluating chat or social platforms for a minor, look for ones with age checks that go beyond a self-reported birthday, transparent and actively staffed moderation, and ideally some feature that lets you stay reasonably involved without taking over their privacy entirely. JustaChat is not designed, built, or intended for anyone under 18, and we'd encourage you to treat any platform that makes that distinction loosely with real caution.
Chat Rules & Guidelines
- JustaChat is an 18+ platform. We do not operate any room for users under 18, in this room or anywhere else on the network. Anyone found to be — or reasonably suspected of being — under 18 will be removed immediately and permanently banned. There are no warnings issued for this rule.
- Treat all users with kindness and respect. Bullying, personal attacks, targeted harassment, and deliberate cruelty will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
- No racism, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind — this includes slurs, derogatory language, or content that degrades any person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin.
- No sharing of personal information — yours or anyone else's. Do not share your real name, address, school, phone number, email, or social media handles in the public room.
- No spamming, flooding, or repeating the same message in rapid succession. This disrupts conversation for everyone and will result in an immediate kick or ban.
- No soliciting, advertising, or posting links of any kind without prior staff approval.
- Impersonating staff members, moderators, or other community members is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate ban.
- Moderator decisions are final in the room. If you believe an action was taken in error, contact staff through the contact page — do not argue it in the room.
- Users who attempt to circumvent a ban using alternate nicknames, connections, or falsified ages will have their ban extended without further notice.

Report Abuse, Harassment, or an Underage User
If you experience or witness harassment, predatory behavior, suspect a user is under 18, or see anything that violates our rules in any JustaChat room, please report it. Visit our contact page and use the form to send a message to our staff. Include the nickname of the person involved and what happened.
Every report is taken seriously. Our staff reviews all submissions and takes action promptly. You do not need an account to submit a report, and you will never be penalized for reporting something in good faith.
