I have been vegan for about 1 month now! But i think i am going to be just vegatarian becuase no dairy is really hard. But i love animals and never agion want to eat them. I hate cruelty...how about you???

Ok, I get you now. As for actual animal abuse, I don't really care, if someone wants to mistreat their animal, it's on them. It's rediculous how they have those stupid animal cops & whatever, people who waste their time & effort to find people who abuse animals & putting them in jail, when there are murderers & sh*t on the loose. Seriously, all they're doing is putting more people in jails, wasting manpower, etc. when they could use that jail space for pedophiles or something, & use the extra men to, I dunno, give parking tickets or something, who cares, put them on something constructive.
Another thing that annoys me is when they get an animal, stray, abused, whatever, & they take it in, give it expensive medical treatment, feed it better than some people are fed, etc. & all of it's treatment is FREE. They could be doing better things with their money than wasting it all on the medical bill of some animal who can never pay it back. Seriously, there are homeless people sleeping under bridges eating refuse to survive & some idiots are medicating & feeding dogs & sh*t. We should take care of human beings first, humans are more important than animals, with all of the money wasted on animals every year we could feed, clothe, & help sh*tloads of homeless people.

It clearly states that God meant for mankind to have dominion over everything and that does include animals. Look, I understand the whole "Don't kill the animals" deal because people try to put themselves in the same position. No one wants to be slain in order to fill up the stomach of someone or something else. Yet, my friends, animals were placed on the earth for the basic reason of keeping the human race satisfied. What did man use in order to keep themselves warm in the beginning? They clothed themselves with the skins and furs of animals. I am sorry to disappoint or anger any of you vegeterians or vegans but it is the plain, simple, and honest truth. Now...abusing an animal? I won't even go there.

I've been a vegetarian for 8 months now and I stick to not eating any meat or cooking any previous living thing.If people wanna say things like oh eating meat is alright it's not bad well then so be it! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but what I wanna say is.A person who orders their burgers at a fast food place isn't the same thing as the whole food chain thing.Just know that these animals that you eat go through tail docking,ear clipping,branding,dehorning,teeth pulling,ovariectomy,(all while they are conscious).Then in the slaughterhouse they are stunned before getting slaughterd.Next they get skinned,disemboweled,or boiled alive...do you call that torture? This intense torture is hard to believe that these innocent animals are raised just to be killed and served on a plate.It's crazy because predators out in the wild kill because they have to meat eaters on the other hand kill by choice.It really makes me wonder if slaughter is gross to think about what it must be like for the animals to experience it. I'm better off without meat anyway... living this way is healthier.The meat industry is a living nightmare... it's a freaking torture chamber! These animals are pumped with growth hormones and fed things you don't wanna know.When I see a cow their big brown eyes grow on me.A innocent lamb in the fields just enjoying life or a duck quacking away makes me feel sad.Just to know that they will soon be swallowed.I don't mean to preach I'm just trying to get a point across.

I thought I'd add this a lion eats the zebra because it's a necessity they can't go to freaking stores to get food.We on the other hand eat meat by choice there are many things such as fake hamburgers,hot dogs,soy nuggets that we can eat instead of flesh.People think that kicking a dog or cat is abuse? 'Fake meat', etc, is a product of modern society, humans ate meat for thousands of years through necessity. But, now that food is produced does that change the fact that we need nutrients in red meat, fish, etc? No.
If you're opposed to slaughterhouses and the method of meat production, buy free-range meat, or live as a vegetarian and die of malnutrition, massive lack of minerals and salts we need in legumes, beans, etc.

I dont think its cruel to eat meat. Our bodies were designed to eat meat. Thats why we have canine teeth, to tear the meat, and appendixes are there to help digest raw meat. (I'm such a little nerd). I am against animal abuse though.

Your parents have dominion over you. Doesn't mean they can eat, beat or rape you. Having dominion over something means to be responsible for them.

All of you are playing a zero sum game. It's not a simple issue, but we can all agree that animals feel pain and taking away a newborn from a new mother of any species is an emotionally heart wrenching thing.

I've been vegan for a few years now not because I don't like the taste of animals/animal products, but because I don't think the current system of super-farms is very nice and goes against the way I'd like to be treated or consider humane. I could look away, or I can acknowledge it and make a course correction, which is what I did. I have alternatives to animal products that are tasty so I happily eat them without missing cheese or what not.

I swear, nobody would make a snit of noise if it came out that eating lima beans or something like that was bad for you or cruel. It's simply your pleasure overwriting your sense of right.
