I stuck up for myself alot in the past few days.
Okay, so there is this girl in my school who acts like quite a ****. She recently gave a boy oral sex on the bus...(Actually, in my school we ride in vans, so it's even WORSE then engaging in oral sex while on a bus.)
Anywho, the other day I was looking in the mirror. It was about my 5th time looking in the mirror that day, but I had a legit reason. There was a bump in the back of my hair that kept sticking up like a cow-lick sort of thing, so I kept smoothing it out while looking in the mirror. While I was doing this, she started going off about how I have no self esteem because I look in the mirror so much. I responded with, "I'M the one with no confidence?! You don't see me sucking a guys **** on the bus!" All she did was laugh. I think she thought I was kidding. At least I got my point across though.
Then this morning, I asked her if my hair looked bad, and she said "Yeah it looks messed," or something like that. (My hair looked perfectly fine by the way, she was just saying it to be rude.) So I replied by saying, "You just say that to make others feel like **** because your confidence is so low."
Also, today she was telling me and my counselor about how this kid Dan always says horrible things about me, such as me being a "dirty *****." I stood up for myself in this situation too by saying, "I don't believe you. I hear tons of people saying HORRIBLE things about you, and I would never tell you about them and hurt your feelings like that." (Keep in mind that the obvious reason she was telling me that someone was talking about me was only to bring my self esteem down. I mean, why else would she say it? I don't gain anything from it.)
I'm just really proud that I stuck up for myself. :]
