I watched a video on this one time, and they told you to be "stern." I disagree with this though. Bullies WANT a reaction out of you. When you respond to them, you are feeding them the attention they want. Your best bet is to ignore them. They may move on to someone else, and they may not. It's really a difficult situation to deal with. Chances are, if you act like they aren't even there, they'll try to find someone else who they can get a reaction out of. It's really sad how they rag on people to bring up their self esteem, but that's just how disgustingly shallow some people are.

Avoid them, ignore them. Stop caring as they'll feed on your reactions. If anything they bully you about happens to be a legitimate flaw or thing you want to change for other reasons, you can become better.

Also, finding friends who aren't wusses and will stand by you is a safe bet.

I'm guessing you're one of those shallow people. By looking at your photo, I have no idea why you would ever consider yourself to be better then anyone...really... and I won't even comment on your level of intellect. What you're saying is, there is no way to defend yourself against a bully, so deal with it. Oh, and if you actually have a level of intelligence that means you can work for a decent grade in your exams, that makes you a nerd! Being a nerd automatically qualifies you to be harrassed. Is that correct? Because that's what it looks like to me. Being harrassed doesn't have to be solved in a physical sense, the best advice is to ignore it. Of course that's easier said then done, when most bullies are so pathetic that they thrive on trying to make someone else feel as bad about themselves as they do. If you can't ignore it, seek help and advice from an adult i.e your parents or a teacher. You don't have to put up with any kind of discrimination or harrassment, so therefore DON'T put up with it. Fight back, but use your brain and not your fist. Throwing punches will only resolve to make you as pathetic as them. Oh and fight back verbally? Great idea! Verbal abuse is only going to make it worse. Using name calling as a method of defense is pointless, it'll only give them more reason to attack you.

Your basic verbal skills, english and punctuation, or even basic english skills in general. Capitalisation, comma placement, the use of verbs and nouns your extensive vocabulary (or not so extensive as the case may be). And you also failed to respond to the criteria of my previous statement, you're so caught up on yourself. And No, I'm not going to point out the criteria, you can read (apparently) so figure it out. If you need more, by all means respond again and I'll list more for you. By the way, it's not about where you live, so let's just clear that up. Crime is unfortunately an aspect of any community in any part of the world, and YES some areas are obviously going to be more violent then others. But you're talking about bullying, which doesn't actually fall into the same category as murder, just incase your confused. Verbal taunting is slightly different to taking someone elses life unjustly. So I'm saying everyone has the right to feel safe, especially at school. Don't fight back verbally or physically unless you wish to encourage further harrassment of a more severe nature. Contact an adult. They are trained in this area, and will know how to help you and protect you. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, ignore it. Hopefully they'll get sick of it (eventually) and leave you alone.

This thread has answered itself in a way. If you all had gone through the thread, you would have realised that a comment from a person, started a string of posts. This is what happens in life whether it is with bullies or arguments or anything where you wish to make a point or win.

Moroever, regarding the bullies, we all are seeing as to how to deal with them, but what about seeing how and why they are bullies?

Bullies need help and counselling and have genrally been bullied or physically (sometimes sexually) abused when young. Infact, teachers, families and friends should try to help them out of their pain and anger which makes them bullies.

Well, I was bullied alot (and still am =P) I learned to just ignore them eventually. I used to get really pissed of and I would SCREAM at them, at one point I restorted to vilence and threats, but that didn't help. Last year, it got so serious that my parents got the Vice Principle and the Principle (who probably knew about it from the beggining but did no thing, considering they claimed "Our school is a bully-free zone" lmao, yeah right) involved, I do not know what they did, but I suspect the parents of thoes rotten boys got involved, if not the police. Now, I didn't talk about this problem untill I started crying in front of my mom one day be accident, I alway thought it was better to suffer in silence. The best thing to do is to get the "higher powers" (AKA parents, teachers, principles, vice principles, and , if needed, the police) involved, they generally help.
